Examples of recent installations

Every home is different. Here are real jobs — indoors, outdoors, new builds and retrofits — grouped by water softeners and drinking water filtration.

Water softener installations

Whole-house softeners fitted where they suit the home best — under the kitchen sink, in a utility press or in a weather-protected outdoor housing. Neat pipework, tidy drain runs and a full handover on how the unit works.

Outdoor cabinet softener, Co. Meath

Where there is no room indoors, the softener goes into an insulated outdoor cabinet. Frost-protected pipework, clipped drain hose into the existing gully and a bypass valve so the house can stay in water during servicing.

Compact softener installed outside a new build with brass garden tap nearby

New-build external install

A compact cabinet unit tied straight into the mains after the stopcock, so every tap, shower and appliance in the house runs on soft water. Discreet, out of the way and easy to top up with salt.

Under-sink softener with drinking tap

A CS Ruby New 8 slotted into the sink unit with the cabinet base cut and reinforced. The separate slim tap alongside the main mixer delivers filtered drinking water, so nothing else in the kitchen had to change.

Softener installed beside a double sink with two taps and a carbon filter

Softener plus in-line drinking filter

Softener on the left of the press, carbon drinking filter on the right, both feeding a dedicated second tap. A raised shelf keeps the remaining storage usable — a common request in smaller kitchens.

Utility room installation

Fitted in the utility press away from the kitchen, with the control head at eye level for easy programming. Salt top-ups are a two-minute job and the whole unit is hidden behind a standard door.

Drinking water filtration & reverse osmosis

Five-stage reverse osmosis and carbon filtration systems fitted under the sink with their own dedicated tap — clean, great-tasting drinking and cooking water, and no more bottled water.

Softener + 5-stage RO combination

The complete setup: softened water through the whole house and reverse osmosis on the drinking tap. Membrane, pre-filters, booster pump and storage tank all mounted so every cartridge can be changed without emptying the press.

The tank stores filtered water so the drinking tap flows instantly instead of trickling. Colour-coded tubing and labelled shut-offs make future filter changes quick and mess-free.

In-line carbon drinking filter

A budget-friendly alternative to RO where the mains water is already good: a single high-capacity carbon cartridge removes chlorine taste and odour, mounted clear of the waste pipes for a one-minute annual swap.

Full kitchen upgrade

Softener, RO unit, pump and tank fitted together during a kitchen refit. Everything sits on the cabinet base with the shelf kept in place, so the homeowner didn't lose the storage they had.

Twin-cabinet softener and RO

Softener in one press, filtration in the next, linked through the divider. Tidy flexible runs, an isolating valve on each leg and a service label so the next filter change date is never a guess.
